These wedding invitations were designed for my brother-in-law's wedding. Since the wedding is so close to Chrismas, they wanted the design to be Christmas themed. I offered three different designs options and this ended up being the winner. The red berries are an original graphic created by first hand sketching the design, then watercoloring and inking it afterwards. The design was then scanned into the computer and touched up in photoshop. After the invitations were printed, each one was mounted onto a dark brown shimmer paper to make them more festive. :)

The final product. :) Ready to go...
These custom baby shower invitations were a lot of fun to do. One of the inspiring elements for the invitation was a table runner that would be used at the baby shower. Wanting to carry the theme, the hostesses requested that I create something that emulated the table runner design and the shower decor. The resulting custom artwork was done by sketching out a floral pattern, lightly watercoloring, and then finishing with black ink. Sweet and feminine, this design is perfect for celebrating the coming of a sweet baby girl.

A bit of detail....
This next design started as a gift for my sweet friend, Laura. Knowing that she likes sheep, I thought these would be perfect. :) As I'm finding out with the past few shows I've done, lots of other people are sheep lovers as well and have turned this design into one of my top sellers.

Since I'm so behind on blogging, I have a lot of designs that need to be posted. The best thing I can think to do is to start from my first designs (from over a year ago) and go from there. So, here goes....
My first stationery orders came from my sweet friend, Holly. She gave me freedom to come up with something and surprise her. Knowing that she has the best green thumb around, I thought that she would like something floral. Both designs were hand drawn and painted and then scanned in for editing and reproduction.

This weekend's show at Sweet Pea's "Art in the Garden" was a success. It was an absolutely beautiful autumn day. To top it all off, we were in the middle of all the gorgeous flowers and fall decor at Sweet Pea's Garden Shop in Homewood. My table was set up next to my sweet friend, Holly, of Holly's Homemade. Holly makes THE BEST homemade garlic pita chips and secret recipe chocolate sauce. If you want to try any of her products, email me and I can give you her information. Anyway, I don't think we could have asked for a better day.

Holly's yummy pita chips.
P.S. I made her labels. :)
Gotta have some of Holly's Homemade Chocolate Sauce. Soooo good.
I know, I know. I should have some of my stuff posted by now. Unfortunately, it's terribly hard to do when you have a laptop that works at a snail's pace. Good news, the hubby and I are in talks about getting me a desktop computer so my business can run more smoothly. :)
Anyway, until then, you can catch me at
Sweet Pea's "Art in the Garden" show this Saturday, October 9th in Homewood, AL. If you have a chance, please stop by and see me. I love meeting new faces.
Also, I'll have a few selections of notecards being auctioned off at IIDA's Artrageous on October 21st. Please come out and support the IIDA foundation.
